The Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade (OEDIT) has unveiled a new three-year program aimed at invigorating rural economies. The Rural Jump-Start (RJS) Operating Grant initiative is expected to allocate up to $630,000, targeting distressed rural communities within the state. According to Governor Jared Polis, "These grants will support businesses in our rural communities around the state. Through this initiative, eligible businesses located in designated RJS zones can apply for operating support of either $15,000 or $25,000. The RJS program has a history of success, having facilitated 212 new hires in rural communities last year alone.
