Ferrero North America’s 2025 Ingredients for Success (IFS) initiative is significantly impacting the business landscape for early-stage Black entrepreneurs. In partnership with the U.S. Black Chambers, Inc., this esteemed program has launched its fifth iteration, aiming to provide vital financial support and resources. With a grant pool of $150,000 this year, IFS continues to empower aspiring business owners by offering three entrepreneurs each a generous $50,000 grant complemented by mentorship and access to essential networking and educational tools.
The Vision Behind Ingredients for Success
At the heart of this initiative is the inspiring legacy of Wally Amos, the founder of Famous Amos. Rachna Patel, Vice President of Marketing for Famous Amos, describes the essence of IFS as a tribute to Amos’ originality and entrepreneurial spirit. “Ingredients for Success pays tribute to the brand’s roots by helping early-stage Black business owners work toward their dreams,” Patel shares. “Ultimately, we aim to cultivate a community where individuality and innovation can thrive long-term.”
Celebrating Economic Empowerment
Over the past five years, the IFS initiative has awarded a cumulative total of $600,000 to 12 business owners, fostering economic empowerment in diverse sectors. From educational tools and nostalgic card games to health-focused initiatives in underserved communities, the breadth of supported businesses reflects the program's commitment to fuel creativity and opportunity. As Shawn Amos, son of Wally Amos and this year’s IFS judge, notes, “So many entrepreneurs deserve a chance to grow their business to reach its fullest potential.”
Eligibility and Application Process
Businesses seeking to qualify for the Ingredients for Success program must meet specific criteria: they must be at least 90% Black-owned, operational for five years or less, based in the United States, and owned by individuals aged 21 and older.
